The day’s programme includes a variety of speakers, including:

Educating Londoners: Sharing Experiences in the Archives Open Day
London Metropolitan Archives (LMA)
Friday 9 May 2014 from 10am to 4pm
Join us for a day of talks, recollections and document viewing to explore the stories of Londoners and their education. LMA partners with the Archives at the University of London’s Institute of Education to inspire discussion and reflection on education in London in the 20th century. From school architecture to school yard play, teacher unionism to after school detention, school dinners to curriculum reform, this day’s timetable can cover it all.

On Wednesday, November 20th, drop in to the Archives at the Institute of Education’s Newsam Library & Archives and explore story boxes from our collections. Teacher trainees and students can pick up teaching resources and discuss how to use original documents in the classroom.
